Baseball Game Preview: Frankston Indians vs. Hawkins Hawks

The Frankston Indians will challenge the Hawkins Hawks on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Frankston 3.3, Hawkins 3.9) so any runs scored will be well earned.

Frankston is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Monday. They walked away with a 6-1 victory over Ore City.

Meanwhile, it may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Hawkins ultimately got the result they hoped for on Saturday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Pewitt, sneaking past 5-4. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Hawks.

The team relied heavily on Landen Burns, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Brayden Givens was another key player, going 1-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Frankston has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-6 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.1 runs over those games. As for Hawkins, they pushed their record up to 24-8-1 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home.
