The Ector Eagles waltzed into their game on Tuesday with three straight wins but they left with four. They came out on top against Fannindel by a score of 35-23. That's another feather in the cap for Ector, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Despite the defeat, Fannindel saw an underclassman step up: Kalob Runnels scored 13 points. That was a full 56.5% of Fannindel's points, marking the sixth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Ector is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 14-14 record this season. As for Fannindel, their loss dropped their record down to 3-14.
