Baseball Recap: Greene Central Rams vs. Burns Bulldogs

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Greene Central had no problem doing just that on Saturday. They came out on top against the Burns Bulldogs by a score of 8-5. Winning may never get old, but Greene Central sure is getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Braden Burress spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered five earned runs on 11 hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive pitching appearances.

At the plate, Riley Radford was incredible, going 2-for-3 with a home run and four RBI.

Greene Central's victory bumped their record up to 29-1. As for Burns, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 31-3 record this season.

As of now, neither Greene Central nor Burns have any future games scheduled.
