Basketball Game Preview: Santiago Sharks vs. Patriot Warriors

The Santiago Sharks will head out on the road to take on the Patriot Warriors at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Santiago knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past six matchups -- so hopefully Patriot likes a good challenge.

Santiago easily dispatched Esperanza on Saturday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. Santiago fell just short of Chino Hills by a score of 62-60 on Monday. The Sharks' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Meanwhile, Patriot was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were three points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 60-57 heartbreaker at the hands of Los Osos. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Warriors have suffered since December 5, 2024.

Patriot's defeat dropped their record down to 6-10. As for Santiago, their loss dropped their record down to 16-5.
