Baseball Recap: Exeter Triumphs

It may have taken nine innings to finish the job, but Exeter ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out Lockwood 4-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win Exeter has posted since May 15, 2024.

The team relied heavily on Kason Nelson, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 3-for-4. Coy Aldridge also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

The victory got Exeter back to even at 4-4. As for Lockwood, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Exeter will welcome Southwest at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Lockwood, they will take on Miller at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Cardinals will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something the Tigers surely won't give up without a fight.
