Softball Recap: North Woods Takes a Loss

After soaring to 17 runs the game before, North Woods was a bit more limited in their matchup on Friday. They came up short against the International Falls Broncos, falling 12-1. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the grizzlies of the 16-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

North Woods saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ella Kruse, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI.

North Woods' defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 5-9. As for International Falls, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-9 record this season.

North Woods does not have any more games scheduled as of now. International Falls has already played their next game (against Roseau), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
