Recap: Rocklin Thunder vs. Grant Pacers
It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Rocklin Thunder can now relate to. They had to suffer through a rough 41-14 loss at the hands of the Pacers. Rocklin's loss signaled the end of their six-game winning streak.
Reeve Slone threw for 181 yards and a touchdown.
Nate Martin was his top target, picking up 97 receiving yards. On the ground,
Derek Keeley rushed for 46 yards and a touchdown.
Grant's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Wayshawn Parker led the charge by rushing for 175 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 8.0 yards per carry. Devin Green was another key contributor, rushing for 102 yards and two touchdowns on only 11 carries.
Rocklin's loss dropped their record down to 12-2. As for Grant, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 12-2.
Rocklin does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Grant will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against La Serna at 4:00 p.m. on December 8th. La Serna has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 506 points over their last ten games.
