Hough (Cornelius, N.C.) bested West Charlotte (Charlotte, N.C.) 41-7 on Saturday.
After taking the lead on a field goal by
Tim Gawert in the first quarter, the Huskies led 31-7 at the half.
Hough expanded its lead to 31 points entering the fourth quarter. HHS's lone score in the quarter came on a touchdown pass by Stilley to
Nicholas Burrow.
With the win the Cornelius school extended its winning streak to seven games. The Huskies defeated the Vikings 33-0 last week.
Naiil Ramadan made a difference for the Lions. The sophomore quarterback ran for one touchdown.
West Charlotte's lone touchdown came on a 6-yard run by Ramadan in the second quarter.
Hough came into the game allowing 17.3 points per game.
When the two teams played each other last season, HHS came away with a 24-21 victory.
The loss comes after West Charlotte defeated Mooresville 28-7 last week.
Hough (7-1) will play a 4A I-Meck game against Mooresville next week, while West Charlotte (2-6) will take on Lake Norman also in a 4A I-Meck game.
