Football Recap: Dos Palos Now 5-1 over Last Six Games

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Dos Palos walked away with it. They strolled past the Santa Ynez Pirates with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 14-0.

Dos Palos is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 11.5 points on average over those games. As for Santa Ynez, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-5.

Looking ahead, Dos Palos will square off against McLane at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Broncos will need to watch out since the Highlanders have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season. Santa Ynez does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
