Soccer Recap: Maiden Takes a Loss

Maiden was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 13th straight defeat. They lost 8-0 to the North Lincoln Knights. While losing is never fun, Maiden can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 464th, while North Lincoln are ranked 177th).

Maiden's loss dropped their record down to 2-15. As for North Lincoln, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-6-3 record this season.

Maiden didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next match, a 7-0 defeat against Bunker Hill on the 16th. As for North Lincoln, they also wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next matchup, a 2-1 win against West Iredell on the 16th.
