Benton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 13th straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 62-39 to the North Penn-Liberty Mountie. One positive for the Tigers, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

North Penn-Liberty got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Sudan Benner out in front who went 6 for 8 en route to 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Adynn Wheeland, who posted 12 points and four steals.

Benton's defeat dropped their record down to 0-11. As for North Penn-Liberty, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-6.

Benton will be playing in front of their home fans against Sullivan County at 7:30 p.m. on January 29th. As for North Penn-Liberty, they will venture away from home to square off against Wellsboro at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. North Penn-Liberty is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 60.5 points per game this season.
