Baseball Recap: Jefferson Takes a Loss

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Jefferson's offense. They came up short against the Bishop Heelan Catholic Crusaders on Tuesday, falling 9-0. The defeat continues a trend for the Yellowjackets in their meetings with the Crusaders: they've now lost nine in a row.

Jefferson saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Peyton Steinspring, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one double.

Jefferson's record is now 4-18. As for Bishop Heelan Catholic, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 13 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-3 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Bishop Heelan Catholic beat Jefferson by a score of 9-1 later that day.
