            Volleyball Recap: Southside Panthers vs. Homewood Patriots        
        
		
        
        
            It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Southside can now relate to. They lost  3-0 to the Homewood Patriots on Thursday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest  defeat the Panthers have suffered  since October 23, 2024.
 Southside was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the  second set very close. The final score came out to 25-14, 25-23,  25-21.
 Homewood can attribute much of their success to  Addison Wood, who  had 13  digs and three  assists. That's the most  digs  Wood has posted since back in September.
Southside has  traveled a rocky road recently, having  lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 19-15 record  this season. As for Homewood, their victory  ended  a  three-match drought on the road  and  puts them at 22-18.
 Southside has already played their next match,  a  3-0  win against Gardendale on the 23rd. As for Homewood, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next  contest,  a  3-0  victory against Decatur on the 23rd.
