Baseball Recap: Arlington's Losing Streak Snapped at Eight Games

Arlington barely beat Louisville the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Eagles were the clear victors by a 10-0 margin over the Lions on Saturday. The victory was some much needed relief for the Eagles as it spelled an end to their eight-game losing streak.

The result came thanks to Jackson Stosich's shutout, as he gave up just two hits and racked up eight Ks. Arlington is 2-1 when Stosich allows two or fewer hits, but 4-12 otherwise.

At the plate, Peyton Marfisi was incredible, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. He is becoming a predictor of Arlington's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 4-1 (and 2-12 when he doesn't). Luke Sharp was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.

Arlington's win bumped their record up to 6-13. As for Louisville, they have been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 12 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-15 record this season.
