Softball Recap: Barren County Trojans vs. Green County Dragons

It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Barren County ultimately got the result they hoped for on Monday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 7-5 victory over the Green County Dragons. The win was nothing new for the Trojans as they're now sitting on three straight.

Kaitie Elmore was incredible, firing off two home runs and four RBI while going 2-for-5. Those two home runs gave her a new career-high. Lily Elmore was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Barren County kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least ten hits in five consecutive contests.
