Basketball Game Preview: Carter-Riverside Eagles vs. Benbrook Bobcats

Carter-Riverside is 0-5 against Benbrook since November of 2016 but things could change on Tuesday. The Carter-Riverside Eagles will venture away from home to challenge the Benbrook Bobcats at 7:30 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Carter-Riverside is headed into Tuesday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fifth straight game on Friday. They were dealt a 65-9 loss at the hands of Eastern Hills. The game marked the Eagles' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Meanwhile, Benbrook had to suffer through a 100-38 loss at the hands of Fort Worth THESA. While losing is never fun, the Bobcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1254th, while the Riders are ranked 307th).

Carter-Riverside's defeat dropped their record down to 7-9. As for Benbrook, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last nine matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-10 record this season.

Carter-Riverside was taken down by Benbrook 53-3 in their previous meeting back in January of 2024. Can Carter-Riverside avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
