Soccer Game Preview: Mosinee vs. Lakeland

The Mosinee Indians will head out to face off against the Lakeland Thunderbirds at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Mosinee comes in on five and Lakeland on six.

Mosinee's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. Everything went their way against Rhinelander as they made off with a 3-0 victory. Mosinee might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matchups by three goals or more this season.

Meanwhile, after failing to score in their last match, Lakeland made sure to put some goals up on the board against Rhinelander on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Hodags with a sharp 4-1 win. The final result isn't all that surprising considering Lakeland's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin soccer rankings (they are ranked 36th, while Rhinelander are ranked 250th).

Mosinee's victory bumped their record up to 8-5. As for Lakeland, their win bumped their record up to 10-0-1.

Mosinee suffered a grim 4-1 defeat to Lakeland when the teams last played back in September. Can the Indians avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
