Baseball Recap: American Heritage Victorious

On Wednesday, the American Heritage Patriots sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over the Grace Christian Academy Lions. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Patriots.

American Heritage got a great performance from Mark Aleman as he struck out ten batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits (and only one walk). The dominant performance gave Aleman a new career-high in strikeouts.

On the hitting side, Jordan Rich was excellent, going 1-for-2 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

American Heritage's victory bumped their record up to 11-3. As for Grace Christian Academy, they dropped their record down to 1-6 with the defeat, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season.

American Heritage didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, an 11-1 win against Killian on the 14th. As for Grace Christian Academy, they have also already played their next game, a 9-4 victory against Wellington on the 13th.
