It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Pike County had no problem doing just that on Thursday. They blew past the Stephens County Indians 8-2. Pike County might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 17 matches by three goals or more this season.

Their offense was hitting Stephens County from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Sophie Moss led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for four goals all by herself.

The win (which was Pike County's ninth in a row) raised their record to 18-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up three goals over those nine contests. As for Stephens County, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-6.

Pike County didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next game, an 8-1 win against Sonoraville on the 5th. Stephens County does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
