Volleyball Recap: Providence Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Providence barely beat Charlotte Catholic the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Panthers blew past the Cougars 3-0 on Thursday. The win was familiar territory for the Panthers, who have now won three contests in a row.

Providence was especially dominant in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 25-23, 27-25.

Providence's victory bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Charlotte Catholic, they are on an 18-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Providence will square off against rival Sun Valley at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Charlotte Catholic is set to face off against their familiar foe Ballantyne Ridge at 5:15 p.m. on Monday.
