Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Kate Ryan and Sophia Olson Lead Starr's Mill to Victory

There's no place like home for Starr's Mill, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Eagle's Landing Eagles on Saturday. That's more bragging rights for the Panthers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Starr's Mill took both sets by at least ten points. The final score came out to 25-13, 25-15.

Starr's Mill was led to victory by Sophia Olson and Kate Ryan. Olson had seven digs and two aces, while Ryan had five assists and two aces. That's the most aces Ryan has posted since back in September of 2024.

They weren't the only good server: Starr's Mill was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 11 aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Eagle's Landing only served three aces.
