Recap: Africentric Early College Nubians vs. South Bulldogs
The Africentric Early College Nubians stacked a 13th blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat South 93-23 on the road. The victory was nothing new for Africentric Early College as they're now sitting on seven straight.
Africentric Early College's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Kamryn Grant led the charge by scoring 20 points along with seven rebounds. Grant hasn't dropped below 15points for four straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Natiah Nelson, who scored 17 points along with eight rebounds and two steals.
Africentric Early College pushed their record up to 14-2 with that victory, which was their tenth straight on the road. They've been dominating during the matches in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 54.2 points. As for South, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-7.
Africentric Early College will be playing in front of their home fans against Independence at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Independence will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings (they are ranked 692nd, while Africentric Early College is ranked 81st). As for South, they will head out on the road to take on Marion-Franklin at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Marion-Franklin is coming into the game on a four-game losing streak.
