Basketball Recap: Paint Rock Comes Up Short

Paint Rock was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They were four points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 32-28 heartbreaker at the hands of the Panther Creek Panthers. The Indians were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Panthers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February.

Paint Rock's loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Panther Creek, their win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 7-11.

Paint Rock will finish 2024 at home by hosting Lohn at 10:00 a.m. on December 30th. Panther Creek will wrap up 2024 with a road trip to face off against Rochelle at 10:00 a.m. on December 30th. Rochelle has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
