Volleyball Recap: Hayden Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Hayden waltzed into their match on Saturday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Eudora Cardinals. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-1 back in September.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Hayden got the one that really mattered. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 24-26, 25-20.

Hailey Schmidtlein paced Hayden's offense, picking up 13 kills. Schmidtlein got some help from Blakely Walter and her 34 assists.

Despite the loss, Eudora still got an impressive performance from Bailey Hammerschmidt, who had 20 digs and four assists.

Hayden's victory bumped their record up to 28-9. As for Eudora, their loss dropped their record down to 26-11.

Coming up, Hayden will take on Clay Center at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. Eudora does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
