Basketball Recap: Sweet Springs Takes a Loss

Sweet Springs was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They had to suffer through a 61-17 loss at the hands of the Lone Jack Mules. While losing is never fun, the Greyhounds can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 483rd, while the Mules are ranked 95th).

Sweet Springs' defeat dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Lone Jack, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 10-2-1 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sweet Springs will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Slater at 6:00 p.m. on February 4th. Lone Jack also won't see the court for a while: their next contest is against Santa Fe at 6:30 p.m. on February 4th.
