Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Franklin Christian Academy). The stars were shining brightly for them in a 75-60 win over the Franklin Road Christian Minutemen on Thursday. The Falcons have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Minutemen, too.

Franklin Road Christian's loss came despite strong showings from Ben Walker and Connor Branch. Walker went 7 of 15 en route to 22 points, while Branch posted 16 points along with seven steals and six assists. That's the most assists Branch has posted since back in January. The team also got some help courtesy of Mason Alcorn, who had five points and three steals.

Franklin Christian Academy's victory bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Franklin Road Christian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. It'll be Battle of the Birds when the Franklin Christian Academy Falcons challenge the Zion Christian Academy Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025. After both having extra time off, Franklin Road Christian and Boyd Christian will shake off the cobwebs and face off against one another at 7:30 p.m. on January 6, 2025. Franklin Road Christian is facing Boyd Christian at the right time seeing as Boyd Christian is stuck on a ten-game losing streak.
