Baseball Recap: Ashby Comes Up Short

Ashby couldn't beat Browerville on Thursday even though they stacked five runs on them in the seventh inning. The Arrows fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 8-7. The loss continues a trend for the Arrows in their meetings with the Tigers: they've now lost four in a row.

Easton Nelson made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and earned three runs and two stolen bases. Another player making a difference was Maison Barry, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Ashby's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Browerville, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ashby will square off against West Central Area at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Browerville, they are packing up and heading out for their first away game of the season: they will square off against Osakis at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
