Soccer Recap: Salem Drops Season-High Score on Austin

Salem scored the most goals they've had this season on Monday, but it wasn't enough. They fell just short of the Austin Eagles by a score of 4-3. Salem were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Austin apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Salem's loss dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Austin, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-9.

Coming up, Salem will head out on the road to square off against Charlestown at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Salem's defense better be ready for this one: Charlestown have averaged an impressive 2.8 goals per game this season. As for Austin, they will be playing in front of their home fans against South Ripley at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
