Soccer Game Preview: Salida vs. Manitou Springs + How To Watch

The Salida Spartans will head out on the road to face off against the Manitou Springs Mustangs at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Salida will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.

If Manitou Springs heads into halftime all tied up, they better play a good second half: that's when Salida took over last week. The Spartans' defense stepped up to hand Canon City a 1-0 shutout on Thursday. That's two games straight that Salida have won by just one goal.

Their one-goal win came courtesy of Kai Krasnow, which was the first he's scored this season.

Meanwhile, it was close, but on Thursday Manitou Springs sidestepped Pueblo Centennial for a 1-0 victory.

Salida's win bumped their record up to 7-1. As for Manitou Springs, their victory bumped their record up to 6-1-1.

Salida was able to grind out a solid win over Manitou Springs when the teams last played back in October of 2024, winning 4-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Spartans since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
