Volleyball Recap: Mabel-Canton Falls Short of New Richland-Hartland-Ellendale-Geneva in the Playoffs

Mabel-Canton and New Richland-Hartland-Ellendale-Geneva squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Mabel-Canton had to settle for second. They fell 3-1 to the Panthers. The Cougars' loss signaled the end of their ten-game winning streak.

Several Cougars players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Gwenyth Rein, who had 20 digs and one block. Rein is also crushing it when it comes to assists: she's posted at least 14 every time she's taken the court this season.

Mabel-Canton's defeat dropped their record down to 30-4. As for New Richland-Hartland-Ellendale-Geneva, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-6-1 record this season.

As of now, neither Mabel-Canton nor New Richland-Hartland-Ellendale-Geneva have any future games scheduled.
