Baseball Recap: Edgewood Comes Up Short

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Edgewood's offense. They came up short against the Perry Pirates on Wednesday, falling 10-0. The Warriors' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it five in a row.

Edgewood saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alex Sperduto, who went 1-for-2 with one double.

Edgewood's loss dropped their record down to 4-11. As for Perry, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Edgewood will take on Madison at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Blue Streaks' pitching crew has only allowed three runs per game this season, so the Warriors' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Perry, they will face off against West Geauga at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
