Baseball Recap: Logan Comes Up Short

If Logan was feeling good fresh off their 19-6 takedown of Grady on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Longhorns fell 9-5 to the Bronchos on Friday. The Longhorns were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Bronchos earlier this season, when they won 19-6.

Kale Griffiths and Hayden Bruhn stepped up to the plate in a big way. Griffiths went 2-for-4 with one home run and two runs, while Bruhn went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one double. Logan is 5-1 when Griffiths posts two or more runs, but 5-6 otherwise. Vincent DeLuca also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Logan's loss dropped their record down to 10-7. As for Grady, their win bumped their record up to 11-9.

As of now, neither Logan nor the Bronchos have any future games scheduled.
