Central Christian has gone 9-1 against Aletheia Christian Academy recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Saints will welcome the Lions at 4:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Central Christian gave up the first runs last Friday, but they didn't let that get them down. They came out on top against West Florida Baptist Academy by a score of 12-8.

Meanwhile, Aletheia Christian Academy didn't have quite enough to beat Lighthouse Private Christian Academy on Tuesday and fell 13-11.

Shelby Carmack was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring three runs and stealing three bases while going 2-for-3. She also put up a double, which was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Abigail Finley, who scored two runs and stole three bases while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.

Central Christian pushed their record up to 3-2 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.8 runs on average this season. As for Aletheia Christian Academy, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 5-4.

Central Christian took their win against Aletheia Christian Academy when the teams last played back in March by a conclusive 25-3 score. Do the Saints have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Lions turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
