Paul Laurence Dunbar faced West Jessamine in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Bulldogs came out on top against the Colts by a score of 3-1. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-2 two weeks ago.

The victory didn't come easy: West Jessamine scored at least 20 points in every set. The final score came out to 25-23, 19-25, 25-20, 28-26.

Will Naehr paced Paul Laurence Dunbar's offense, picking up 15 kills. Naehr got some help from Zahid Diaz and his 17 assists. Naehr also made an impact serving: he shared the team lead in aces with Esteban Diaz, racking up three apiece.
