Baseball Game Preview: Hillcrest Patriots vs. Bibb County Choctaws

The Hillcrest Patriots will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against the Bibb County Choctaws at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Hillcrest will be strutting in after a win while Bibb County will be coming in after a loss.

Last Friday, Hillcrest sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-3 victory over Warren Central. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Patriots.

Meanwhile, Thursday just wasn't the day for Bibb County's offense. They took a 3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Tuscaloosa County on Thursday. The Choctaws' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Hillcrest now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Bibb County, their loss dropped their record down to 6-2.

Hillcrest took their win against Bibb County when the teams last played back in February of 2016 by a conclusive 11-2. Will Hillcrest repeat their success, or does Bibb County have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
