            Football Recap: Curtis Warriors vs. Erasmus Hall Dutchmen        
        
		
        
        
            Curtis faced Erasmus Hall in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Warriors received a  blow  as they fell  35-19 to the Dutchmen. The Warriors were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Dutchmen apparently hadn't forgotten their  defeat the last time these teams played  back in December of 2024.
  Kendu Brown had another great game (as  he tends to do), throwing for 257 yards and three  TDs, while also punching in one  touchdown on the ground for Erasmus Hall. Brown's passing game has become a key predictor of the Dutchmen's success: the team is undefeated when his passer rating is 100 or higher, but only 1-2 otherwise.  Jaire Lewis helped  Brown out on the ground, picking up 81 receiving yards and one  score, while also rushing for 35 yards and one  TD.
Having lost for the first time  this season, Curtis  fell to 7-1. As for Erasmus Hall, they pushed their record up to 5-2 with the  victory, which was their fifth straight  at home dating back to last season.
 Looking ahead, Curtis will face off against DeWitt Clinton at 6:00  p.m.  on Thursday. As for Erasmus Hall, they will challenge Wagner at 4:00  p.m.  on Friday. The Dutchmen are facing the Falcons at the right time seeing as the Falcons are stuck on  a  three-game losing streak.
