Volleyball Recap: Staples Falls Short Against Ranked Ludlowe

Staples faced Ludlowe in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Wreckers took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Falcons. The Wreckers were not able to make up for their loss to the Falcons from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

While Staples had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 19 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-19, 25-23, 18-25, 25-21.

Staples is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-4. As for Ludlowe, the win (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 12-2.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Staples is set to face off against their familiar foe St. Joseph at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Ludlowe will challenge rival Stamford at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
