Volleyball Recap: Casteel Wins High-Profile Game Against Millennium

Casteel faced Millennium in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Colts walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Tigers. The Colts haven't had any issues with the Tigers recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Casteel got the W, but it wasn't easy, at least in the second set. The final score came out to 25-18, 37-39, 27-25, 25-22.

Casteel found their leader in sophomore Will Schneiderman, who had 27 digs and five assists. Schneiderman is on a roll when it comes to digs, as he's now had ten or more in each of the last 11 games he's played.

Despite the defeat, Millennium had strong showings from Ethan Tran, who had ten digs and four assists, and David Tang, who had three digs.

Casteel pushed their record up to 25-11-1 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. As for Millennium, the loss snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 18-12 record.

Coming up, Casteel will square off against Basha at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Millennium, they will challenge Apollo at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
