Marathon waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. Their pitchers stepped up to hand Downtown Doral a 10-0 shutout. Marathon might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight games by seven runs or more this season.

Marathon let Roco Piscetello and Bradley Buigas run wild. Piscetello went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one run, while Buigas went 2-for-3 with two runs and one RBI. That's the most runs Buigas has posted since back in March.

Marathon was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .375. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in three consecutive contests.

Marathon's record is now 15-8-1. As for Downtown Doral, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-14 record this season.

Marathon will face off against Miami Country Day at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Downtown Doral, they will square off against Sports Leadership & Management at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
