Baseball Recap: Edgewood Rams vs. Havre de Grace Warriors

Edgewood had lost 12 straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Friday they dropped down to 1-12 to make it 13. They came up short against the Havre de Grace Warriors, falling 20-4. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 8-1 on Wednesday.

As for Havre de Grace, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-8. Their hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

For Havre de Grace's part, Nolen Soriano was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Havre de Grace is 2-1 when Soriano allows one or fewer hits, but 2-7 otherwise. Soriano was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in all five of his plate appearances with three RBI. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in hits (three).

In other batting news, Lucas Fongemie was incredible, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with one home run, four runs, and five RBI. Those five RBI gave him a new career-high. Gavin Bolen also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.
