Meade River came tearing into Friday's matchup with three straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Alak Huskies. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-1 on Thursday.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Meade River who won the one that mattered. The final score came out to 25-17, 22-25, 15-10.

The win got Meade River back to even at 5-5. As for Alak, they are on an 18-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.
