Soccer Game Preview: Lake Dallas vs. Springtown

The Lake Dallas Falcons will head out on the road to face off against the Springtown Porcupines at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Springtown took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Lake Dallas, who comes in off a win.

Lake Dallas is headed into the contest having not lost since January 21 and will look to keep things rolling. Everything went their way against Lake Worth on Friday as Lake Dallas made off with a 5-0 win. Given the Falcons' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 165th, while the Bullfrogs are ranked 611th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Springtown was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They lost 5-0 to Lake Worth.

Lake Dallas is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up three goals over those seven matches. Springtown's defeat dropped their record down to 3-9.

Everything went Lake Dallas' way against Springtown in their previous matchup on February 4th, as Lake Dallas made off with a 9-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Lake Dallas since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
