Football Recap: Nolan Catholic Vikings vs. Trinity Christian Trojans

Nolan Catholic extended their losing streak to eight on Friday, dropping them down to 1-9. They had to suffer through a 51-10 loss at the hands of the Trinity Christian Trojans. The Vikings were not able to make up for their loss to the Trojans from their previous meeting back in November of 2024.

Houston Hartung threw for 49 yards and one TD. Aaron Morales was his top target, picking up 38 receiving yards and one score. On the ground, Joseph Irvin rushed for 51 yards.

As for Trinity Christian, their win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-5 and their overall record up to 3-7. The result was nothing new for the Trojans, who have now won three contests by 39 points or more so far this season.

Trinity Christian's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Davis Crumrine, who threw for 242 yards and four touchdowns on only 17 passes. Those 242 passing yards gave Crumrine a new career-high. Another back making a difference was Campbell Laible, who gained 144 total yards and two touchdowns.
