Basketball Game Preview: Cimarron Bluejays vs. Holcomb Longhorns

Cimarron is 1-9 against Holcomb since January of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Cimarron Bluejays will look to defend their home court against the Holcomb Longhorns at 7:00 p.m.

Cimarron is headed into Friday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Tuesday. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 53-28 to Scott, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior.

Meanwhile, Holcomb faced Goodland in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. Holcomb secured a 59-55 W over Goodland.

Holcomb pushed their record up to 6-1 with the win, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Cimarron, their loss dropped their record down to 2-6.

Things could have been worse for Cimarron, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 56-37 loss to Holcomb when the teams last played back in February of 2024. Can Cimarron avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
