Softball Recap: Forest Hills Central Comes Up Short

Forest Hills Central was the 20-2 winner over West Ottawa when they last played one another back in April of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Rangers lost 11-2 to the Panthers on Friday. The Rangers just can't catch a break and have now endured seven losses in a row.

Karianna Wierenga was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and one run. Priya Mahair also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Forest Hills Central's record is now 5-10. As for West Ottawa, the win snapped their losing streak at six games and leaves them with a 3-6 record.

Coming up, Forest Hills Central will take on Ottawa Hills at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. The Rangers are facing the Bengals at the right time seeing as the Bengals are stuck on an eight-game losing streak. As for West Ottawa, they will face off against Holland Christian at 11:45 a.m. on Saturday.
