Baseball Recap: Rancho Buena Vista's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

There's no place like home for Rancho Buena Vista, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Fallbrook Warriors a 5-0 shutout on Tuesday. The Longhorns have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Warriors, too.

The result came thanks to Tyler Saldana-Mu?oz's shutout, as he gave up just five hits and racked up six Ks. Those six strikeouts set a new season-high mark for him.

On the hitting side, Rancho Buena Vista's victory was truly a team effort as six different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Ty Lowry, who went 1-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double. That's the most RBI Lowry has posted since back in April of 2024.

The win snapped Rancho Buena Vista's losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 6-13 record. As for Fallbrook, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-10.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Rancho Buena Vista beat the Warriors by a score of 2-1 on Thursday.
