Baseball Game Preview: Brazos Cougars vs. Hitchcock Bulldogs

For the second straight game, Brazos will face off against Hitchcock. The Cougars will be playing at home against the Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Brazos is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.6 runs per game this season.

Last Tuesday, Brazos was able to grind out a solid victory over Hitchcock, taking the game 7-2. The Cougars haven't had any issues with the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Jaden Bradley spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on four hits.

On the hitting side, Gunner Grigar was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. He has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last five times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Luke Polasek, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Brazos' victory bumped their record up to 10-7. As for Hitchcock, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-14.

Hitchcock's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Brazos has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .466.
