McPherson strolled into their game on Monday with a perfect record and they left with the same. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Andale/Garden Plain Indians a 1-0 shutout. The one-run effort marked the Bullpups' lowest-scoring game of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Carter Allen made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out nine over 6.2 innings pitched. Those nine strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.

Allen wasn't the only one making solid contact as two players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Brock Richardson, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI.

McPherson pushed their record up to 9-0 with the win, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season.

They will have a chance to go back-to-back against Andale/Garden Plain: the pair will be back at it again later today.
