Softball Recap: Westerly Comes Up Short

Westerly lost against Cranston West back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Bulldogs took a 10-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Falcons. That's two games in a row now that the Bulldogs have lost by exactly four runs.

Isabella Austin and Addison Poole did some serious damage despite the final result: Austin scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances, while Poole scored a run while going 2-for-4.

Westerly's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Cranston West, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Coming up, Westerly will be playing in front of their home fans against South Kingstown at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Cranston West, they will venture away from home to face off against St. Mary Academy-Bay View at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
