Baseball Recap: Lampeter-Strasburg Sets Scoring Season-High Against Octorara Area

Lampeter-Strasburg has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 3.8 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Thursday. They walked away with a 15-12 win over the Octorara Area Braves. The Pioneers' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Brayden Hart was incredible, going 3-for-5 with two stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Chase Messinger, who scored four runs and stole a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

Lampeter-Strasburg was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .407. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .304 or higher in four consecutive matches.

Lampeter-Strasburg's victory bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Octorara Area, their loss dropped their record down to 3-3.
